1. Search Bar
This is the most basic way to look up a player. Enter a player's poker screenname into this box, and hit search. If the player exists in our database, his stats will come up. If the player does not exist in our database, then his stats will show up as N/A.
2. Filters
This is one of the most important settings in PokerEdge. Select your filters then hit the "apply filter" button (circled in green) to put your changes into effect. These filters are applied to all facets of PokerEdge including the stats shown, the icon/color ratings in Auto Table Lookup, and the Table Summary.
- For MTT or SNG tourneys, set the filter to "Tournaments"
- Or for Cash Games, set the filter to "Cash Games"
- If you play NoLimit or PotLimit, check the box for No Limit and uncheck the box for Limit. For Limit games do the opposite.
- For cash games, select a range above and below the stake level you are playing for maximum data. For example, If you play $3/$6 set the stakes between $1/2 and $5/10.
- For Full size games (7-10 players), set Game Size to "FULL"
- For Short games (2-6 players), set Game Size to "SHORT"
3. Notes
Take notes on a player and hit Save. The notes will show up the next time you lookup the player. You can import notes from a poker client's Notes.txt, from PokerEdge v3.0 settings.xml file, or from another PokerEdge v4.0 notes.xml file by using Import Notes from the File Menu.
4. Stat Categories
A player's stats divided into 6 categories: Key Stats, PreFlop, Flop, Turn, River, and Showdowns. View the different categories by clicking on the tabs.
5. Hand Distribution
Click this button to see a graphical representation of how many hands we have tracked for the different game types, and the player's winrate for the different game types.
6. Stats
This area shows the statistics for the different categories. You can change which category of stats you are looking at by clicking on the tabs (Key Stats, PreFlop, Flop, Turn, River, Showdowns). Find a description of any stat by placing the mouse over the name of the stat and holding it there. In the example picture, putting your mouse over the stat "PF-Raise" shows the description "Raise% PreFlop."

Auto Table Lookup

|
Auto Table Lookup will instantly identify the players that are sitting at any of the poker tables that you currently have open. Start Auto Table Lookup by selecting it from the File Menu of the main PokerEDGE application. Select your site by using the Site combobox at the top of the Auto Table Lookup window. If you have any tables open for the site, you should see the table and players names appear. You'll notice that each player's name can be color coded and assigned an icon. The rules that dictate what color and icon a player gets are defined by a configuration. Select a configuration to use by clicking the Options Menu. To view the details of a configuration, add a new configuration, or edit an existing configuration, see the section on the Configuration Manager.
By looking at the colors and icons of the names at a table, you can quicky tell what types of players are at the table. In the default configuration which is being used in the example picture, green means a loose player, and red means a tight player. Table "Coyote Crazy's" has 4 loose players, 4 tight players, and 2 neutral players. The bomb icon identifies players that are aggressive Pre and Post flop. The red fish icon identifies a player that is aggressive PreFlop, and passive PostFlop. This table will likely be very aggressive, especially PreFlop, and fairly loose due to the 4 green players. Click on a player's name to see his detailed stats in the main PokerEDGE window.
The table summaries give a numeric summary of each table based on 5 key stats. |

The Configuration Manager
Customize the PokerEDGE application to fit your needs. A Configuration is a collection of rules that can be saved and loaded for later use. The rules within the configuration define how Auto Table Lookup will assign icons and colors to players based on their style of play.

|
1. Config Manager Toolbar
These 5 buttons allow you to Add, Edit, Delete, Save, and Cancel a Configuration. Use Add to create a new Configuration from scratch. Use Edit to edit the current configuration (the current configuration is selected using 2). Use Delete to delete the current configuration. Use Cancel to cancel an Add or Edit.
2. Current Configuration
Click this combobox to change the current configuration. Once a configuration is selected, you can Edit or Delete it using the buttons in the Toolbar (1).
3. Current Rules
The icons and colors depicted in the Current Rules define the rules for the current configuration. Click on a rule icon or color to see the details of the rule (details are shown in 6). Use the priority arrows to change the priority of the rule (Configuration must be in Add or Edit mode. See 1)
4. Add/Delete Rules
Use the New Rule button to Add a new rule to the current configuration. Use the Delete Rule button after clicking a Current Icon or Color rule to delete the rule from the configuration. The configuration must be in Add or Edit mode (shown in 1) in order to Add or Delete rules.
5. Min Hands
The minimum hands threshold defines how many tracked hands a player must have in order to show up in the Table Summary (for Auto Table Lookup) and the Heads Up Display. If a player has less hands tracked than this number, his stats will not be used when computing the Table Summary and will not show up in the Heads Up Display.
6. Rule Editor
The Rule Editor allows you to Edit a current rule, or define a new rule. To Edit a rule, click a Current Icon or Color rule (see 3). Then hit Edit in the Rule Editor. To Add a new rule, click New Rule (see 4).
|
When Adding/Editing an icon rule, click the Icon button to select the icon that will be associated with the rule. Type a name for the rule in the Name field. The parameters of the rule are defined below, using the Operator and Value fields. In the example shown, the rule named "TAA(Shark)" will show a shark fin icon for a player when his PF-Raise is greater than 6%, (FL-See) Aggr is greater than 1.5, W$SD is greater than 50%, and VP$IP is less than or equal to 20%.

|
|
Color rules are defined in a similar manner:

|
Priority of Rules
When applying a set of rules, only one icon and one color can be associated with a player. This is why rules have priority. Rules are applied from the highest priority (priority 1) to the lowest until a match is found. This means that the highest priority rule that matches the player is applied, and all lower priority rules are ignored. To change the priority of a rule, click on it in Current Rules, and then use the Up/Down arrow keys (see 3).

Heads Up Display
The Heads Up Display provides a convenient interface to view player statistics directly on the poker table while you are playing. The HUD can be enabled/disabled through the Options Menu in Auto Table Lookup. When HUD is enabled, each player will have a box of 9 stats and an icon next to their name. More detailed stats can be shown by hovering your mouse over the stat box or the icon.

1. Stat Box
The Stat Box can contain up to 9 stats on a player. The abbreviations of the stats displayed can be seen in the legend (see 3). You can configure which 9 stats you want to show by clicking Heads Up Display Manager from the File Menu in the main Poker-Edge.Com window. To temporarily hide/show the stat box for a particular player, double click the icon (see 2). NOTE: The stats shown in the stat box are filtered based on the global filter settings in the main Poker-Edge.Com window.
2. Icon
Each player will have one icon next to his name. This icon will reflect the icon that is shown in Auto Table Lookup. Therefore, the Configuration you have selected in Auto Table Lookup will dictate the rules that assign an icon to a particular player. Double clicking an icon will temporarily hide/show the player's stat box (see 1).
3. Legend
The Legend shows what the stats in the Stat Box (See 1) represent. In the picture above, the number shown in the upper left of each stat box would represent "Hands Played." The Legend is useful to help you memorize the positioning of the stats in the Stat Box. Once you have them memorized, you can hide the Legend by through the Heads Up Display Manager.
4. ToolTip
The ToolTip provides up to 20 more stats that can show up when you hover your mouse over a player's Icon or Stat Box. You can customize which 20 stats show up in the Heads Up Display Manager.
5. Table Summary
The Table Summary shows the average statistics for the players at the table. These numbers are the same as the Table Summary values shown in Auto Table Lookup. The value of "Minimum Hands Threshold for Table Summary" for the current Configuration determines how many hands a player neeeds to have tracked if he is to be included in the Table Summary calculation.
NOTES:
All of the boxes in the Heads Up Display can be dragged around. To drag, click on the icon, statbox, legend, or table summary, and move your mouse while holding the click down.
The Table Summary's default location blocks 3 buttons: Rebuy, Lobby, and Leave Table. None of these buttons are necessary. To Rebuy, you can click the chips on the wooden tray in front of the dealer. To go to the Lobby, you can simply click the main Lobby window. To Leave Table, you can click the X in the upper right hand corner of the table window.

Hand Distribution Graph

|
View the Hand Distribution Graph by clicking the "Hand Distribution" button in the Key Stats tab.
These graphs show how many hands we have tracked on a player for the different gametypes, and the player's winrate at the different gametypes. In the picture shown, you can see that this player plays primarily 3/6 and 5/10 full games, and has a negative winrate for both of these games.
Putting the mouse over any of the graph bars shows the actual number.
The winrate is called BB/100 and is defined as the number of Big Bets won per 100 hands. A Big Bet is defined as 2x the Big Blind. This number is only accurate if a large number of hands have been played (10,000+ ideally). For example, a player that has played 10,000 hands at 3/6 (Big Bet = $6) and has made $1200 dollars, is carrying a winrate of 2.0 BB/100; (1200/6)/(10000/100) = 2.0. |
|
|
View a player's 10 Recent Showdowns by clicking the "Recent Showdowns" button in the Showdowns Tab. Here you can see the player's hole cards, the 5 community cards, and what the player did on each round of betting. In addition, you can see the game type, the final pot size, the outcome, the number of players in the hand, and the player's position. The postion can be the small blind, the big blind, the cutoff (defined as 1 seat before the button), the button, or a number. If the position is a number, it is the number of seats after the big blind. For example, a position of 3 means the third player to act after the big blind.
